Bread dolls made from a traditional Serbian recipe mimic human life as they are baked into existence and eventually decompose.

Lepinje Lutke is a community project, where the bread dolls are baked, birthed and find new homes to dwell, live, and eventually, like us all, decompose.

Dodge Street Gallery

The bread dolls sat on a dining room table with a lace table clothe at the Dodge Street Gallery in 2024. Viewers were invited to become participants and play with, smell, rearrange the dolls on the table.
